Earlier in the day, a separate road accident occurred on the Pune Nashik Highway near Kalamb village in Pune's Manchar, resulting in the tragic death of a 19-year-old boy. The accident involved a car driven by Mayur Sahebrao Mohite, the nephew of NCP MLA from Khed, Dilip Mohite Patil. Mohite's car collided with a bike coming from the opposite direction, causing the death of Om Bhalerao, who sustained injuries as a pillion rider on the bike. Mohite has been arrested in connection with the accident.
