Pune Crash: Forensics Head Arrested for Tampering with Evidence
Real Estate Pune:The Pune Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, has announced the arrest of the head of the forensics department at Sassoon Hospital, Dr. Ajay Taware, and another doctor, Dr. Shrihari Halnor, for allegedly tampering with evidence in the Pune Porsche crash case. The case has been marred by controversy since the beginning, with allegations of preferential treatment and underworld connections surrounding the accused's family.

The minor accused in the case was taken to Sassoon Hospital for a medical check-up, where his blood sample was allegedly switched with that of another individual who had not consumed alcohol. The forensic science laboratory report showed no alcohol in the first sample, raising suspicions. A second blood test was conducted at a different hospital, and DNA tests confirmed that the samples were from two different individuals, leading investigators to suspect that the doctors at the government hospital had tampered with the evidence to protect the accused juvenile.

Dr. Shrihari Halnor, who had taken the blood sample from the juvenile, was arrested and revealed during interrogation that he had changed the blood sample on the directions of Dr. Ajay Taware. The arrests have led to the addition of charges of criminal conspiracy, forgery, and destruction of evidence in the accident case.

The minor's father, Vishal Agarwal, a real estate developer, and his grandfather have also been arrested in connection with the case, with allegations of attempting to bribe and threaten the family's driver to take blame for the accident. The families of the victims have demanded a Supreme Court-monitored probe and trial, citing concerns over the handling of the case.

Sassoon Hospital is a government-run hospital in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It is one of the largest hospitals in the region and provides medical services to a large population.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has been leading the investigation into the Pune Porsche crash case. He has been instrumental in uncovering the evidence of tampering and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice.
