Pune Man Tragically Falls to Death at Lohagad Fort; Wedding Plans Dashed
A man visiting Maharashtra's Lohagad Fort died after falling into a 400-foot-deep gorge while taking photographs. According to police, strong winds caused him to lose balance and slip. The deceased was identified as Ketan Vishal Agrawal, a resident of Gahunje near Pune and a director of a real estate company.
The accident occurred when Ketan, his fiancée, and two close friends had climbed the fort to celebrate his fiancée's birthday. He was scheduled to get married in November this year. Police and the Shivdurg Mitra Emergency Rescue Team retrieved Ketan's body from dense bushes after a 3-hour operation.
Inspector Dinesh Tayade of the Lonavala Rural Police Station said strong winds were blowing at the time of the incident. Agrawal was scheduled to marry in November, and it has emerged that the families had booked a palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan, for the wedding. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and an accidental death report has been registered. Further investigation is underway.
