The Abhay Scheme is a relief program introduced by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to help property owners clear pending property tax dues. It offers a 75% waiver on penalty amounts for all types of properties, including those in newly merged villages.
The Abhay Scheme will be implemented from November 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
A total of 4,97,172 property holders are eligible to benefit from the Abhay Scheme. However, property owners who have already availed the benefits of a previous Abhay Scheme are not eligible this time.
The total outstanding principal tax from eligible properties stands at Rs 3,158 crore, while the accumulated penalty amounts to Rs 9,002 crore.
Strict action will be taken against properties that do not clear pending dues, especially those that have already received prior relief under a previous Abhay Scheme.
