Bavdhan police have apprehended a self-styled godman accused of mental harassment, surveillance, and extortion after a real estate developer filed a complaint.

A self-proclaimed godman named Prasad Dada, also known as Baba and Prasad Bhimrao Tamdar, was arrested by the Bavdhan police.
The accused was charged with cheating, mental harassment, criminal intimidation, sexual exploitation, and offenses under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
The accused secretly installed a hidden app called AirDroid Kid on the victim’s mobile phone and used it to monitor the victim’s activities, exert psychological control, and coerce the victim into performing obscene acts.
The incidents occurred between November 2024 and June 26, 2025.
Potential victims should report the incident to the local police immediately and provide any relevant information to assist in the investigation.
