Pune Police Question NCP MLA Sunil Tingre for Hours in Fatal Porsche Accident Case
Real Estate News:In a recent development, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has disclosed that NCP MLA Sunil Tingre was questioned by Pune police for three to four hours in connection with the fatal Porsche car crash involving a minor in May. The accident, which took place on May 19, claimed the lives of two IT professionals who were riding a motorbike in Kalyani Nagar, Pune.

The Porsche car, driven by a 17-year-old boy, son of a prominent real estate developer, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, struck the motorbike, resulting in the tragic deaths. Tingre, the MLA from Vadgaon Sheri in Pune city, faced criticism for allegedly trying to influence the investigation and save the minor driver. However, Pawar maintained that Tingre had no role in the post-accident happenings.

Pawar stated that some incidents took place in Pune that defamed the city, but the government took stringent action against those involved. He also mentioned that some orders were issued by the administration, which were stringent, and that those who were doing their businesses properly also bore the brunt as action was taken against some hotels.

After the crash, the district administration launched a crackdown on pubs, bars, and restaurants for allegedly violating building permission norms. Pawar asserted that illegal activities and encroachments will not be tolerated, and that rules and regulations framed by the government will have to be accepted by everyone.

Recalling the aftermath of the car crash, Pawar maintained that attempts were made to defame some public representatives of his party. He defended Tingre, stating that as an MLA, it was his responsibility to go to the spot if he got to know about some incident in his constituency. Tingre had refuted allegations that he tried to intervene to save the juvenile accused in the accident case.

Ajit Pawar is the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and heads the ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Sunil Tingre is the NCP MLA from Vadgaon Sheri in Pune city.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is a political party in India founded by Sharad Pawar. The party is currently led by Ajit Pawar and has been a key player in Maharashtra politics.
