Pune Porsche Crash: Grandfather of Accused Denies Allegations of Forcing Driver to Take Blame
Real Estate Pune:A massive pandemonium erupted in Pune after a 17-year-old youth rammed his high-end Porsche Taycan into a motorcycle, killing two IT professionals. The accused, who is the son of a real estate developer, Vishal Agarwal, was reportedly under the influence of liquor when the incident took place.

The grandfather of the accused, SK Agrawal, has denied allegations of forcing the family driver to take the blame for the horrific accident. He told police that he had not threatened the driver and was not even in the city when the accident took place. Agrawal added that the driver had been employed by the Agrawal family for 7-8 years and had remained at the police station until the early hours of Sunday.

A court on Saturday remanded Agrawal in police custody till May 28. Earlier, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that the father and grandfather of the accused offered cash and gifts to the family of the driver to take the blame. They also allegedly threatened him. The duo has been booked under IPC Sections 365 (kidnapping with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person) and 368 (wrongfully concealing or keeping in confinement).

The accused, who is the son of a real estate developer, was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) while setting conditions like social service and writing an essay. However, the Juvenile Board later cancelled the accused's bail and sent him to a juvenile home for 14 days.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the city, with grieving families calling for severe punishment for the accused. The use of influence by the accused's father, a real estate developer, has also raised questions about the justice system.

Vishal Agarwal, the father of the accused, is a real estate developer based in Pune. He is known for his high-end projects in the city.
