The residents of newly incorporated villages in Pune have contributed a total of Rs 30.44 crore in property tax.
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) uses digital platforms to facilitate easy payment of property taxes and ensures that residents are well-informed about their tax obligations.
The revenue from property taxes is used to fund various public infrastructure projects, including the construction and maintenance of roads, schools, healthcare facilities, water supply, and sewage systems.
Some residents initially faced difficulties in understanding the new tax structures and procedures. The PMC organized awareness drives and workshops to address these concerns.
The PMC plans to continue integrating more peripheral areas into the city's administrative framework to generate additional revenue and ensure that a larger number of residents have access to urban services.
