The 40% property tax rebate is a benefit provided to homeowners in Pune who own a single property and live in it. This rebate was introduced to reduce the financial burden on such residents.
Many residents have not received the 40% property tax rebate due to delays in software and billing updates, and flaws in the city-wide survey conducted to identify eligible properties.
Residents who have not received the 40% property tax rebate should resubmit the PT-3 form along with proof of residence. They should also visit their ward offices if necessary and seek clarification from PMC staff.
Out of approximately 9 lakh residential properties in Pune, 2.42 lakh properties were found to be owner-occupied and eligible for the 40% rebate post-survey.
The implementation of the 40% property tax rebate is still pending in many cases. PMC officials have acknowledged the issue and are working to issue revised bills with the rebate applied.
