The Pune City police are investigating a burglary at the home of a 78-year-old retired Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force, where gold and diamond jewelry worth over Rs 59 lakh were stolen.

The burglary occurred between 2:30 AM and 3:15 AM on Tuesday.
Gold, diamond, and precious stone ornaments worth Rs 51.74 lakh and Rs 7.5 lakh in cash, totaling Rs 59.24 lakh, were stolen.
The 78-year-old retired Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force reported the incident to the police.
The police are checking CCTV cameras, capturing footage of the suspects, and probing all possible angles of the case.
The retired Wing Commander is currently based in Pune’s Wanawadi area.
