The Public Traffic Police (PTP) app is a mobile application designed to allow Pune residents to report traffic violations directly through their smartphones. It empowers citizens to participate in traffic management by enabling real-time reporting of offenses.
A total of 4,071 complaints were logged between June 13 and July 22, 2025, through the PTP app in Pune.
Over 76% of the complaints resulted in challans being issued, while approximately 23% were rejected.
Responsible citizens with no pending traffic challans can use the PTP app to report traffic violations. Each submission is reviewed by the traffic department within 48 hours.
In addition to traffic violations, the PTP app allows users to report road-related issues such as potholes, accidents, waterlogging, oil spills, fallen trees, and abandoned vehicles.
