The state committee comprises officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the Regional Town and Country Planning Department, and the Forest Department.
The committee has been given a one-month deadline to complete its survey and submit a comprehensive report.
Property owners found to be in violation may face legal proceedings, fines, and, in some cases, the demolition of structures that cannot be regularized.
Residents can report any suspicious activities or unauthorized constructions to the PMC using the toll-free helpline number 1916.
