Pune Vision 2030: A City-Wide Dialogue on Building a Progressive Future
Real Estate Pune:Pune, 27th July 2025: In a landmark evening that brought together some of the city’s most influential voices from government, industry, and the social sector, Pune Vision 2030 was officially set in motion through a high-impact dialogue held at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune. The event served as a dynamic platform for reflection, collaboration, and co-creation of a collective roadmap for Pune’s growth over the next five years.

The event was held under the aegis of the Pune Platform for Collaborative Response (PPCR) — a multi-stakeholder initiative led by Dr. Sudhir Mehta and co-led by Manoj Pochat, committed to building a sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready Pune.

Esteemed dignitaries in attendance included Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Cooperation & Civil Aviation; Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher & Technical Education, Maharashtra; Naval Kishore Ram, Pune Municipal Commissioner; Amitesh Kumar, Pune Commissioner of Police; and entrepreneur and philanthropist Abhay Bhutada, among others.

The event witnessed the participation of over 170 eminent citizens of Pune, including industry leaders from the real estate, automotive, manufacturing, startup, IT, and fintech sectors, as well as representatives from NGOs and prominent thought leaders.

The evening began with a series of thought-provoking remarks on Pune’s current challenges and immense potential. The speakers addressed critical urban issues such as sanitation, traffic congestion, civic compliance, affordable housing, and the need for enhanced public transport — while also highlighting the importance of citizen engagement and accountability.

A key highlight of the event was an open Q&A session between the audience and the dignitaries, where industry leaders shared on-ground challenges and proposed actionable solutions. The dignitaries, in turn, acknowledged these issues and shared their perspectives and presented a forward-looking roadmap for Pune Vision 2030.

At the same time, the dialogue celebrated Pune’s key strengths — its flourishing startup ecosystem, world-class academic institutions, vibrant civic participation, and its potential to lead in high-growth sectors such as electric mobility, healthcare innovation, and digital governance.

The key takeaway from the evening was clear: Pune’s future cannot be shaped in silos. It demands coordinated action across government departments, meaningful collaboration between public and private sectors, and, most importantly, co-ownership by the citizens of Pune.
