As of the latest update, 802 acres of land have been measured for the proposed Purandar International Airport. The process is expected to be completed by October 20.
A total of 3,000 acres of land is required for the Purandar International Airport project.
The district administration is responsible for organizing and conducting the land measurement process, including forming survey teams and ensuring the smooth and peaceful execution of the survey.
As many as 3,220 farmers have submitted their consent for the acquisition of 2,810 acres of land, which is nearly 95% of the required land.
After the land measurement process is completed, the state government will finalise the compensation package and submit proposals for payments and rehabilitation to the farmers. The next phase will involve direct land acquisition and eventual construction of the airport.
