Sagar Heeralal Rajbhar, a 37-year-old real estate agent from Kalyan, was arrested near the forensic science laboratory in Santacruz (East).
A pistol and two live cartridges were seized from the suspect during his arrest.
The police received a tip-off that a man was coming to Hans Bhugra Road near the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) at Kalina in Santacruz (East) to deliver a firearm and cartridges.
The accused has been arrested under relevant sections of the Arms Act, and further investigation is underway to determine the source of the firearm and the intended recipient.
