The Bindu Padmanabhan murder case involves the disappearance and murder of Bindu Padmanabhan, which occurred in 2006. Her body was found recently, leading to the arrest of C M Sebastian.
An audio recording surfaced in which Broker Soda Ponnappan revealed details of the murder to his neighbor Sasikala. The crime branch is examining this audio as part of the investigation.
The first information report (FIR) was filed on December 19, 2017, after 70 days of the initial complaint being registered.
Allegations were made that high-ranking officials had been covering up the investigation and that some officials had accepted bribes during the investigation period.
