Four real estate agents were stripped and given electric shocks by three individuals who mistook them for BMC informants. The incident occurred when they were taking photos of an under-construction room in Bhardawadi Mansion on Derawala Road.
The accused individuals are Sattar Turak, 54, Aziz Turak, 50, and Farooq Turak, 53. They were arrested and remanded to two-day police custody.
The accused mistook the real estate agents for informants of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and became suspicious when they noticed the agents taking photos of a construction site.
The DN Nagar police arrested the three accused, registered the case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act, and are currently investigating the matter.
The BMC is often involved in construction and development projects in Mumbai. The accused individuals mistook the real estate agents for BMC informants, leading to the assault.
