The victim was Srikanth Reddy, a 45-year-old real estate businessman from HB Colony in Moulali, Hyderabad.
Dhanraj was dismissed from his job at Srikanth's real estate business because he frequently came to work in an inebriated condition and caused problems.
On the day of the incident, Dhanraj and his friend Daniel met Srikanth at his office, took Rs 1,200 to buy liquor, and returned to the office after drinking. They then attacked Srikanth with a knife, and Daniel stabbed him to death on Dhanraj's instructions.
Following the incident, the police rushed to the scene, shifted the body for a postmortem, registered a case under section 103(1) of the BNS, and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
The community has expressed shock and fear, and residents have demanded increased police presence and better safety measures. The real estate community has also come together to support Srikanth Reddy's family and ensure justice is served.
