Real Estate Mafia Accused in Ramanagara Renaming: BJP State President
Mysuru: BJP state president BY Vijayendra has made serious allegations against the real estate mafia, claiming they are behind the renaming of Ramanagara as Bengaluru South district. He spoke to reporters in Mysuru on Sunday, stating that the change was made to benefit the real estate sector.
Speaking on the issue, Vijayendra said that the state government seems to have an aversion to the name 'Rama.' He pointed out that a closer look at property ownership details in the district would reveal the true motivation behind the name change, which he believes will become evident soon.
Vijayendra questioned the impact of the name change on the poor and farmers of the district. He argued that renaming Ramanagara to Bengaluru South will not improve their lives or change their fate. He also criticized the state government for closing down the Pradhan Mantri Janaushadhi centres at government hospitals, alleging that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah does not like the photos of Prime Minister Modi.
'Let CM Siddaramaiah visit the government hospitals where patients are now denied free drugs,' Vijayendra said. He further accused CM Siddaramaiah of politicizing development issues by not attending a crucial NITI Aayog meeting. 'Even Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin attended the meeting, which is crucial for the state's developmental perspective,' he added. Vijayendra emphasized that CM Siddaramaiah should have attended the meeting as important decisions on policy matters were taken there.
The allegations highlight the ongoing tension between the BJP and the ruling Congress party in Karnataka, with the real estate sector and development issues at the center of the controversy.
