Real Estate TV Stars: How Agents Became the Main Attraction
Real Estate Mumbai:In the world of reality TV, real estate agents have become the new rockstars. Thanks to the vision of producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, the lives of luxury property brokers have been turned into a genre of shows that have captivated audiences worldwide. It all started with Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, which premiered almost 20 years ago and followed the professional and personal lives of agents selling high-end properties in neighborhoods like Brentwood and Beverly Hills. The show's success led to spinoffs in New York, Miami, and San Francisco, as well as Netflix's own versions, such as Selling Sunset and Buying Beverly Hills.

The duo's latest venture is Owning Manhattan, a Netflix show that premiered on June 28 and follows Ryan Serhant, one of the stars of Million Dollar Listing New York, as he tries to become the number one real estate firm in New York City. According to Serhant's website, he has closed $8 billion in sales to date and opened his own brokerage.

Bailey and Barbato believe that real estate agents have a certain star power, similar to drag queens.
