The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a ranking system for higher education institutions in India. It evaluates institutions across various categories and parameters such as research output, inclusiveness, graduate outcomes, and quality of education.
SPPU has seen a decline due to a reduction in the number of professors, affecting the faculty-student ratio. The retirement of experienced researchers and increased student enrollment due to new courses have also contributed to the drop in rankings.
SPPU is taking several steps to improve, including the ongoing recruitment of professors to enhance the faculty-student ratio and boost research output. The university is also focusing on other quality improvement measures.
The NIRF ranks institutions based on various parameters such as research output, inclusiveness, graduate outcomes, and quality of education. It evaluates institutions across 17 categories, including universities, colleges, research institutes, and more.
As of the latest NIRF report, SPPU is ranked 91st among the country’s top 100 institutions and 56th among the top 100 universities in India.
