C.M. Sebastian is a real estate dealer from Alappuzha, Kerala, who is currently under suspicion for being a serial killer. He has been arrested and is in the custody of the Kottayam Crime Branch.
Bones, including a skull, a thigh bone, and a tooth with a dental clip, have been recovered from a pit behind his house. The tooth clip matched that of Ayesha, a former panchayat employee who went missing in 2012.
Sebastian is suspected in the disappearances of Ayesha, Bindu Padmanabhan, Sindhu, and Jain Mathew (Jayanamma). Ayesha and Jayanamma have direct evidence linking them to Sebastian, while Bindu and Sindhu have circumstantial evidence.
The police suspect that there could be additional remains in the pond, based on the recent discovery of bones from Sebastian's property. Draining the pond will allow them to search for more evidence.
Sebastian has not confessed to the crimes and has refused to undergo a lie detector test. The police are continuing their investigations, including DNA testing and further searches of the area.
