Sectoral and Thematic Mutual Funds Lead the Way in Folio Addition

Sectoral and Thematic Mutual Funds Lead the Way in Folio Addition
Real Estate:The Indian mutual fund industry has witnessed a significant growth in folio addition, with sectoral and thematic funds leading the way. According to the latest data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), the equity mutual funds have added around 54.66 lakh folios on a month-on-month basis from 13.30 crore in June to 13.84 crore in July.

The sectoral and thematic funds have added the highest number of folios, with a total addition of 22.88 lakh folios on a month-on-month basis from 2.24 crore in June to 2.47 crore in July. This category has been in focus due to the growing interest in technology and artificial intelligence, which is transforming the Indian real estate sector.

The small cap funds have also seen a significant addition of 6.66 lakh folios from 2.02 crore in June to 2.09 crore in July. The multi-cap funds have added 5.06 lakh folios on a month-on-month basis from 68.57 lakh in June to 73.64 lakh folios in July.

The large & mid cap funds have added 2.43 lakh folios on a monthly basis from 98.34 lakh folios in June to 1 crore in July. The largecap funds have added 2.28 lakh crore on a monthly basis from 1.41 crore in June to 1.41 crore in July.

The ELSS funds have added 92,056 folios on a monthly basis from 1.63 crore in June to 1.64 crore in July. The dividend yield funds have added 39,287 folios on a monthly basis from 9.52 lakh folios in June to 9.91 lakh folios in July.
