Security Guard Beaten Unconscious by Delivery Boys in Pune Housing Society
A security guard was seriously assaulted by a group of delivery boys in Puneville housing society after denying one of them entry to the lift.

The attack occurred after the security guard denied entry to one of the men into the lift. Angered by this, the man went and brought some friends, who then beat the guard, causing him to fall unconscious. The incident was captured on CCTV, and the footage has now gone viral.
Earlier today, a delivery boy, allegedly from Zepto, tried to access the lift in one of the wings of Puneville Housing Society. When the security guard stopped him, an argument ensued. Later, the Zepto delivery boy returned with a group of friends, all reported to be delivery boys. The group, consisting of around 5-6 people, severely assaulted the security guard, leaving him unconscious for some time.
The incident caused chaos in the housing society, especially as Ganeshotsav celebrations are going on everywhere. Puneville Society falls under the jurisdiction of Ravet Police Station.
When contacted, Senior Police Inspector Nitin Phatangare of Ravet Police Station told us, “An incident like this happened earlier today. The security guard is now okay. We are interrogating the individuals involved and are still investigating. A case has not been registered yet, nor have we received a formal complaint.”
