Real Estate News:New Delhi, Aug 31 (PTI) Signature Global Ltd, a prominent real estate firm, has recently purchased 33.47 acres of land in Sohna, Gurugram, for approximately ₹450 crore. This acquisition is aimed at developing new housing projects in the region, as announced by a top company official.

Gurugram-based Signature Global is one of the leading real estate developers in India. The company has achieved significant milestones, including becoming the fifth largest player in the last fiscal year in terms of pre-sales, with properties worth ₹10,290 crore being sold.

“We have recently purchased a total of 33.47 acres of land in Sohna, Gurugram,” Signature Global Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal disclosed during an interview on the sidelines of NAREDCO's convention. The cost of these acquisitions stands at around ₹450 crore, and the land parcels were bought through three separate sale deeds, offering a total development potential of around 18 lakh square feet.

The company is always on the lookout for land parcels to expand its business. According to Aggarwal, Signature Global is evaluating multiple deals in Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida, and Delhi. The firm's land bank strategy involves acquiring land equivalent to the total projects launched in any given fiscal year.

Last year, Signature Global invested ₹1,070 crore to purchase 48 acres of land in Gurugram, Haryana. The company plans to invest between ₹1,200 and ₹1,500 crore during 2025-26 to acquire additional land parcels.

In terms of project launches, Aggarwal mentioned that the company has launched projects worth ₹4,000 crore in the first quarter of FY26, with another ₹13,000 crore worth of projects expected to hit the market by March next year. “In the second quarter, we have not launched any new projects, but we have inventories in our existing projects available for sale,” he added.

Aggarwal remains confident of achieving the sales bookings or pre-sales guidance of ₹12,500 crore for the current fiscal year. He noted that the demand for luxury homes priced above ₹5 crore per unit is steady, although there is limited supply in the ₹2-5 crore price bracket.

The market scenario in Gurugram, according to Aggarwal, shows a slow and steady demand for luxury homes, with no significant price corrections. However, the frenzied sales seen in the past few years, where entire projects were sold within hours or days, are not as common now.

Financially, Signature Global reported a fivefold surge in consolidated net profit to ₹34.43 crore during the April-June period of 2025-26, up from ₹6.79 crore in the year-ago period. Total income rose to ₹898.35 crore, from ₹427.98 crore during the same period. Despite this growth, the company saw a 15% decline in sales bookings to ₹2,640 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal year, down from ₹3,120 crore in the previous year.

Since its inception, Signature Global has delivered nearly 15 million square feet of real estate projects, solidifying its position as a key player in the Indian real estate market.
