Real Estate:Sobha Ltd, a prominent real estate developer, has announced plans to launch residential projects worth Rs 22,000 crore over the next 18 months. The ambitious project span will cover multiple cities, reflecting the company's commitment to expanding its business and capitalizing on the growing demand for luxury residential real estate.

According to the latest investors' presentation, Sobha Ltd will roll out 13 projects across key cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, Chennai, Calicut, Thrissur, and Trivandrum. These projects will encompass a total of 16 million square feet of built-up area, with an estimated sales value of nearly Rs 22,000 crore.

In addition to the residential projects, Sobha Ltd will also launch two commercial projects, adding 0.74 million square feet to the total pipeline. This will bring the total forthcoming projects to 15, covering 16.7 million square feet of built-up area.

Sobha Ltd has reported a significant 61% growth in its sales bookings, reaching Rs 1,902.6 crore in the second quarter of the fiscal year from Rs 1,178.5 crore in the same period last year. The company sold 13.94 lakh square feet during the July-September period at an average price realization of Rs 13,648 per square foot.

In the first six months of the fiscal year, Sobha Ltd achieved its highest-ever sales bookings at Rs 3,981.4 crore, marking a 30% year-on-year growth. Jagadish Nangineni, Managing Director of Sobha Ltd, highlighted that the strong pre-sales reflect the steady demand for luxury residential real estate in a growing economy, bolstered by improving macroeconomic parameters and timely government interventions.

Nangineni also mentioned that the company completed 2.25 million square feet (1,185 homes) in the first half of the 2025-26 fiscal. He emphasized the company's robust pipeline of 16.69 million square feet of future launches over the next six quarters, a strong balance sheet, and a stable demand environment, positioning Sobha Ltd well for sustained growth and the ability to capitalize on potential opportunities.

On Friday, Sobha reported a nearly threefold increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 72.52 crore in the second quarter of the fiscal year, up from Rs 26.08 crore in the same period last year. Total income increased to Rs 1,469.3 crore in the July-September period from Rs 965.29 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Bengaluru-based Sobha Ltd is one of the leading real estate firms in the country. In the 2024-25 fiscal, the company posted a net profit of Rs 94.68 crore on a total income of Rs 4,162.75 crore. On the operational front, it sold properties worth Rs 6,276.5 crore last fiscal.

Sobha has so far delivered 148.02 million square feet of developable area across 27 Indian cities, solidifying its position as a major player in the real estate sector.
