Sonakshi Sinha Leases Lavish Bandra Apartment to Kuwait Consulate for ₹1.92 Crore

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has made headlines with one of the most lucrative real estate deals of the year. She has leased her premium apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai, to the Consulate General of Kuwait for a total rent of ₹1.92 crore over a year.

According to property registration documents accessed by the data-driven real estate firm CRE Matrix, Sinha's apartment will be rented by the Consulate General, Emad Abdul Aziz Al-Kharaz, for residential accommodation. The Consulate General will be residing with his family and staff.

The luxurious apartment is situated on a higher floor of the residential tower Aureate in Bandra West, offering a stunning ocean view. The skyscraper is known for its prestigious residents, including corporate tycoons, high-profile personalities, and celebrities.

Sinha's apartment spans a substantial 4,350 sq ft of carpet area and includes a 27 sq ft servant's toilet, as reported by the Hindustan Times. The residence comes with three dedicated parking spaces, making it one of the larger and more desirable properties in the upscale Bandra micro-market.

The property is equipped with an extensive range of lifestyle and wellness amenities. Residents have access to a gymnasium, library, conference room, yoga studio, clubhouse, children's play area, banquet hall, walking and jogging tracks, an open-sky fitness centre, and three landscaped garden spaces. Additionally, the property offers separate swimming pools for men and women. According to the lease documents, the tenant will have access to all these amenities without any additional charges.

The deal was registered on May 25, 2026, with a stamp duty of ₹96,000 and a registration fee of ₹1,000. The rent for the luxurious apartment comes down to ₹16 lakh per month, with the lease commencement date set for June 7, 2026, and the license expiry date on June 6, 2027, for a 12-month lock-in period.

As per the contract, Sonakshi Sinha will be responsible for paying the society maintenance charges, municipal taxes, and water taxes. However, the Consulate will bear the cost of day-to-day Common Area Maintenance (CAM) and other utility bills, such as electricity, high-speed Wi-Fi, satellite cable, telephone connections, and regular cleaning of the premium premises.

Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, is known for her selective approach to projects. After her appearances in films like Nikita Roy and Jatadhara, she was recently seen in the legal courtroom drama, System, which starred Jyothika and Ashutosh Gowariker.
