Steel Strips Infrastructures Receives Rs 2.25 Crore from SAB Mall Transaction; Aims to Reduce Debt

Steel Strips Infrastructures (SSIL) has received the balance consideration and transferred the management rights of SAB Mall, located in Noida. The proceeds from this transaction are earmarked for the payment of company liabilities, marking a significant step in the company's financial restructuring efforts.

On Friday, Indian equity benchmarks saw a decline, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index dropping 0.21 per cent to close at 23,366.70. Amid the broader market weakness, investors closely monitored developments in SSIL following the company's update on the transfer of management rights and sale transaction related to SAB Mall, Noida.

The company informed the stock exchanges that it has received the balance consideration of Rs 2.25 crore. This amount includes Rs 1 crore for management rights and Rs 1.25 crore for the sale consideration. The management rights of the property have been transferred, and specified original title documents have been handed over to the buyer, in accordance with the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The expected completion date for the transaction is August 10, 2026, contingent on the clearance of dues and the receipt of necessary permissions from the Noida Authority. The sub-lease deed will be executed after the completion of the required formalities. The buyers involved in the transaction are SMC Enterprises Private Limited and Shubham Properties Private Limited, both based in New Delhi. The company confirmed that the buyers are not related to the promoter or promoter group, and the transaction does not constitute a related-party transaction.

SAB Mall, Noida, has been a significant contributor to SSIL's revenue. During the financial year 2026, the mall contributed Rs 136.03 lakh, representing approximately 97.93 per cent of the company's revenue or income. This revenue was generated through rental income, hoarding and publicity charges, parking receipts, and maintenance-related income associated with the property. Despite its substantial contribution to the company's revenue, SAB Mall did not positively impact the company's net worth due to the company's overall loss-making position.

Steel Strips Infrastructures stated that the proceeds from the SAB Mall transaction will be utilized towards the payment of the company's liabilities. This move is expected to strengthen the company's financial position and support its ongoing efforts to improve its balance sheet.

Steel Strips Infrastructures Limited is a company engaged in real estate and infrastructure-related activities.
