Suhana Khan Faces Legal Trouble Over Rs 12 Crore Alibaug Real Estate Deal
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's daughter, Suhana Khan, has found herself in legal trouble surrounding a real estate deal. It has come to light that Suhana reportedly purchased a piece of land in Alibaug, Maharashtra, worth Rs 12.91 crore, without procuring the necessary permissions and paperwork.
The land, which was originally allotted to farmers by the government for agricultural purposes, was bought from the Khote family, based in Cuffe Parade, an upscale area of Mumbai. Suhana even paid a stamp duty of Rs 77.46 lakh at the time of the purchase. The transfer reportedly took place on May 30, 2023, through Standard Chartered Bank.
The piece of land is located in the Thal village, and the matter is currently under investigation. An impartial report has been sought from the Alibaug tehsildar, as ordered by the Resident Deputy Commissioner of Police. This legal issue could have significant implications for Suhana, given her rising profile in the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Suhana Khan is gearing up for her upcoming and much-anticipated film, 'King,' with her father, Shah Rukh Khan. This marks her second film, following her debut in the streaming movie 'The Archies,' which received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. 'King' will be Suhana's big-screen debut, as 'The Archies' was an OTT-only release.
Earlier, her father, Shah Rukh Khan, suffered an injury to his arm while filming 'King.' The superstar sustained the injury during an action sequence and had to leave the shooting midway to receive medical attention. He underwent surgery and is expected to take a couple of months to recover.
Shah Rukh Khan recently received his first National Award in 33 years of his career. Following the win, he appeared in public view after a few days, posting a video on Instagram where he was seen wearing a sling. He expressed his gratitude to the government and his fans for the recognition and support during his recovery period.
The legal trouble surrounding Suhana Khan's real estate deal in Alibaug highlights the importance of adhering to proper legal procedures and obtaining the necessary permissions when dealing with government-allocated land. As the investigation continues, the outcome could have far-reaching implications for both Suhana and the broader real estate market in the region.
