The Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act is a law enacted by the Tamil Nadu government to prevent harassment of women in the state.
Baskar was booked under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women (TNPHW) Act.
The punishment for harassment under the TNPHW Act includes imprisonment and fines.
