Tesla has leased 24,565 sq ft of warehouse space in Kurla, Mumbai.
The total rent for the five-year lease is ₹24.38 crore.
The leased warehouse is located at Lodha Logistics Park in Kurla, Mumbai.
In addition to the rent, Tesla will pay ₹1.62 crore in common area maintenance charges over five years and has provided a security deposit of ₹2.25 crore.
According to Union minister HD Kumaraswamy, Tesla is not interested in setting up manufacturing and production units in India, but is focused on expanding its showrooms.
