Tesla has leased a 24,565 sq. ft commercial space in Kurla West, Mumbai, for its first warehousing facility in the country. This lease is a significant step towards its official entry into the Indian EV market.
The lease for the Tesla warehouse in Kurla West, Mumbai, is set to commence on April 20, 2025, with a rent-free fit-out period of a month and 10 days.
The starting monthly rent for the Tesla warehouse in Kurla West, Mumbai, is ₹37.53 lakh, which equates to ₹153 per sq. ft.
Tesla has leased a 5,850 sq. ft office space in Panchshil Business Park, Viman Nagar, Pune, and a 4,000 sq ft showroom space in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. It is also planning to open a showroom in Delhi’s Aerocity.
Tesla is expected to officially enter the Indian EV market sometime in late 2025 or early 2026, with its retail and warehousing facilities in key cities like Mumbai and Pune.
