The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TG RERA) is a regulatory body established under the RERA Act 2016 to protect the rights of homebuyers and ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness in the real estate sector in Telangana.
The flat owner, Madhusudhan Rao Udutha, reported water seepage in the master bedroom, washroom, and kitchen areas, as well as the construction of external walls with a thickness of six inches instead of the agreed eight inches.
The builder, Sri Karthikeya Constructions, claimed that the water seepage was due to the improper usage of washrooms and kitchen sinks by the flat owner, causing blockages in the PVC water lines. They also denied the complaint about the wall thickness, stating that the walls were constructed as per the agreement.
TG RERA ordered the builder to resolve the water seepage issues in the flat owner's unit within 60 days without charging any additional fees. Penalties will be imposed if the builder fails to comply.
