The main goal of the partnership is to monitor and curb misleading real estate advertisements, particularly on digital platforms, to protect homebuyers and enhance transparency in the property market.
ASCI will use its technology-driven systems to proactively detect questionable ads and escalate them to TGRERA for regulatory action.
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, is a law in India that aims to regulate the real estate sector, promote transparency, and protect the interests of homebuyers.
This partnership will minimize consumer harm, enhance accountability among builders and agents, and ensure truthful communication of project details, thereby protecting homebuyers from misleading claims.
The MoU was signed by TGRERA Chairman Dr. N. Satyanarayana, Members J. Laxmi Narayana and K. Srinivasa Rao, and senior officials from TGRERA. ASCI was represented by Ms. Manisha Kapoor, CEO and Secretary-General, and Dr. Saheli Sinha, Director – Operations.
