The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) is a regulatory body established under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, to ensure transparency, accountability, and consumer protection in the real estate sector in Telangana.
The Shirivari’s Brundavanam project was suspended because the promoter, P Uma Devi, failed to complete construction and meet the agreed timelines, despite receiving substantial payments from the flat owners.
TGRERA has restrained the promoter, P Uma Devi, from marketing, advertising, booking, selling, or entering into any agreements related to the project. They also instructed the Sub-Registrar of Gandipet not to entertain any registration of sale transactions related to the project.
TGRERA imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on Vijay’s JB Infra Group for advertising and marketing its Terra Green Hills project at Tupranpet without mandatory registration under RERA.
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, is aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and consumer protection in the real estate sector. It regulates the sale, marketing, and development of real estate projects to ensure fair practices and protect the interests of homebuyers.
