Thane Property Expo Sees Over 20K Visitors and 234 Bookings
The 23rd CREDAI MCHI Property Expo concluded on April 19 with an overwhelming response, drawing over 20,000 visitors and recording 234 on-the-spot bookings across residential, commercial, and retail segments. The strong turnout reaffirmed Thane’s growing prominence as a key real estate hub in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The three-day event featured more than 100 RERA-approved projects presented by 40 leading developers. Offerings ranged from affordable 1 BHK homes priced at Rs 55 lakh to premium 4 BHK residences. Properties within the Rs 55 lakh to Rs 2.25 crore bracket witnessed the highest demand, with Ghodbunder Road, Kolshet, Pokhran, and Majiwada emerging as the most preferred micro-markets among buyers.
On-site banking services played a crucial role in facilitating transactions, with 398 home loan applications processed during the expo. Officials noted a 15% higher sanction rate compared to regular bank branches. Legal advisory and Vastu consultation counters further supported buyers, especially first-time homeowners, in making informed decisions.
Organisers highlighted notable participation from NRIs and investors, attributing the interest to ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects such as the Thane Metro, Coastal Road, Borivali–Thane Tunnel, and the proposed high-speed rail station, all of which are expected to enhance connectivity and boost property values.
Sachin Mirani, President of CREDAI MCHI Thane, described the event as “the most successful edition yet,” adding that visible infrastructure growth and curated RERA-compliant projects are accelerating buyer confidence and decision-making.
Secretary Faiyaz Virani stated, “Transparency, choice, and financing support accelerated purchases,” while Expo Committee Chairman Vibhav Borkar emphasised that follow-up visits and post-expo loan disbursals will further indicate the event’s overall success.
Several dignitaries, including Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik, attended the event and praised its contribution to promoting organised and sustainable urban development.
