Prior to his tenure at REEC, Miller worked at Dillon Read Capital Management, where he originated more than $1 billion in commercial real estate loans. His expertise and leadership were instrumental in shaping REEC's impressive portfolio and cementing its reputation as a leader in the real estate industry.

Sadly, Miller's life ended in July 2024, with reports indicating that he died by suicide. His family has not yet released an official statement.

Miller is survived by his wife, Candice Miller, founder of Mama & Tata and co-founder of Black Iris, and their two daughters. The couple shared a deep bond, having grown up as close friends in the Hamptons. Their relationship blossomed in their mid-20s, leading to a heartfelt proposal on Super Bowl Sunday.
