Top Executive Ashish Singh Quits Actis, to Pursue Entrepreneurial Ventures
Real Estate:Ashish Singh, partner and head of India and South East Asia real estate at UK-based private equity firm Actis, has quit the firm, according to sources. Singh, an alumnus of IIT Delhi, has over 20 years of experience in real estate and was previously MD and head of real estate private equity at Standard Chartered before joining Actis.

Singh's departure from Actis comes as a surprise, but sources indicate that he may take up an entrepreneurial role after his transition from the firm. Both Actis and Singh have agreed that he will stay on till the end of 2025.

Actis has several joint ventures with Indian property developers, including a JV with Tata Realty & Infrastructure, which has two assets under construction. The firm also has a JV with Shapoorji Pallonji for mid-income housing under the Joyville brand, where 12 million sq ft is under development.

Additionally, Actis has a JV with Mahindra Lifespaces, which has developed residential properties, and recently announced another venture with Mahindra Lifespaces for industrial parks.
