The Unified RERA Portal is a common platform launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to streamline real estate regulations and enhance transparency. It provides a centralized database for real estate projects and stakeholders.
The Unified RERA Portal empowers homebuyers by providing transparent information about real estate projects, facilitating informed decision-making, and enabling faster resolution of grievances.
To date, 35 States and Union Territories (UTs) have established real estate regulatory authorities under RERA. These authorities help in regulating the real estate sector and protecting the interests of homebuyers.
The central advisory council recommended building a unified nationwide database of real estate projects, adopting Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), ensuring greater uniformity in RERA implementation, and forming a central-level committee to align rules and regulations.
