Real Estate News:The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has given the green light to 21 new projects worth Rs 7,035 crore, paving the way for the construction of 10,866 housing and commercial units across the state.

The decision was taken on Saturday (27 September) at the Authority’s 184th meeting, chaired by Sanjay Bhoosreddy. Bhoosreddy noted the approvals as a marker of the sector’s accelerating growth, as reported by PTI.

“The approval of 21 projects, adding nearly 11,000 new units, highlights the momentum of real estate growth in Uttar Pradesh. With investments of about Rs 7,035 crore, these developments will meet housing needs across diverse income groups and also create significant economic opportunities for the state,” Bhoosreddy said in a statement.

The projects are spread across major urban centres including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Mathura, Agra, Bareilly, Varanasi, and Barabanki. They will feature a mix of residential apartments, villas, plots, and commercial developments.

Officials highlighted that the schemes will not only expand housing availability but also ensure inclusion, with a portion of units reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The developments are also expected to generate substantial employment in construction and allied industries.

According to an official, the largest cluster of approvals came in Noida and Greater Noida, which together account for eight projects. Ghaziabad secured three approvals, while Lucknow and Varanasi received two each. The remaining clearances went to projects in Mathura, Rampur, Agra, Bareilly, Barabanki, and Gorakhpur.
