UP RERA Launches 19th Real Estate Agent Training Session in Lucknow
Real Estate News:The four-day '19th Real Estate Agent Training Session' kicked off today at the Indian Literacy Board in Lucknow under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA). The training session was inaugurated by Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Chairman of UP RERA, who lit the ceremonial lamp to officially start the event.

Delivering the inaugural address, Bhoosreddy emphasized the importance of the training program for real estate agents. He highlighted that promoters, agents, and RERA are intrinsically linked, working together under the provisions of the RERA Act to ensure the security of consumer investments and the growth of a healthy and competitive real estate sector as a driver of the state's development.

Bhoosreddy stressed that irregular practices by some promoters and real estate agents in the past had tarnished the sector's reputation. This necessitated the establishment of RERA to ensure accountability and transparency. He underlined the significant role real estate agents play in the sector and the importance of regular training programs to enhance their professionalism.

Bhoosreddy encouraged the participants to study relevant laws, such as the Apartment Ownership Act, to gain a deeper understanding of the sector and strengthen their expertise. He motivated the participants, emphasizing that passing the examination at the conclusion of the program is mandatory. Successful candidates will receive their certificates within a fortnight at a ceremony held at the RERA headquarters. Their credentials will then be uploaded to the RERA portal, enabling them to apply online for registration as real estate agents.

After obtaining the registration certificate, agents can start working in the sector. Bhoosreddy advised the agents to share only verified information, including project details available on the RERA portal, with clients. He urged agents to closely monitor projects, provide accurate information to buyers, and informally raise concerns if a promoter makes misleading claims. He also recommended that agents regularly review the Quarterly Progress Report (QPR) of the project.

Bhoosreddy informed the participants that nodal officers nominated by RERA are available to address their concerns promptly via email. Secretary of UP RERA, Mahendra Verma, also interacted with the participants, introducing them to upcoming sessions and speakers while emphasizing the importance of ethical practices in the industry.

This training session is a crucial step towards ensuring a more transparent and accountable real estate sector in Uttar Pradesh, benefiting both consumers and industry professionals.
