UP RERA Mandatory Training and Certification for Real Estate Agents
Real Estate Mumbai:In a bid to enhance the security of home buyers' investments and promote professionalism in the real estate sector, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has mandated training and certification for all real estate agents. This move aims to equip agents with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide efficient services to consumers, while also ensuring that they adhere to business ethics and regulatory guidelines.

The three-day training program, organized in collaboration with reputed training institutes and universities, will cover essential topics such as the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, UP RERA rules and regulations, and other relevant laws and guidelines. Upon successful completion of the training, agents will be awarded certificates.

Initially, UP RERA is inviting online applications from agents operating in Lucknow, Gautambudh Nagar, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Moradabad for enrollment in the training program. It is essential to note that no individual or agency can obtain registration to work as a real estate agent without completing this mandatory training.

UP RERA has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with prominent training institutes to facilitate the training program. The authority has been closely monitoring the work and conduct of agents, with approximately 7,000 agents registered with UP RERA.

According to Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Chairman of UP RERA, the training program aims to upgrade the skills of agents, benefiting not only the agents themselves but also other stakeholders, including allottees and promoters. This move is also intended to prevent individuals with tainted antecedents from entering the sector.
