YSRCP Criticizes Chandrababu's Investment Claims at Davos
Ananthapur, Jan 21: YSRCP has strongly criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for his claims of attracting significant investments to Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Visakhapatnam. Speaking to the media, former minister Sake Sailajanath said that the repeated trips to Davos have yielded no tangible results, and this year would be no different.
Sailajanath accused Naidu of treating Visakhapatnam as a commodity and giving away prime lands to real estate firms for personal gains. He said that the same companies have purchased land at actual market rates in other locations, highlighting the stark contrast. He demanded a detailed report on the lands being allocated to these companies.
The Partnership Summits organized by Chandrababu Naidu, according to Sailajanath, are nothing more than illusions. The number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed and the number of jobs promised exist only on paper and are repeated year after year. He added that the actual implementation rate of these MoUs under the previous government was 91 percent, emphasizing the current government's lack of follow-through.
Sailajanath also criticized the coalition government's claims of attracting investments in high-tech sectors like hyperloops and semiconductors, calling them a mirage. He pointed out that there has been no tangible outcome from these claims. The loan taken during the coalition government's tenure has reached Rs 3 lakh crore, and there is a lack of accountability and mechanism to pursue these investment proposals.
The YSRCP leader further stated that the coalition government is more interested in short-term publicity rather than the actual grounding of projects. He accused the TDP leadership of making hollow remarks about investments and job creation, particularly at forums like Davos, which he said reflect their shallow nature.
Sake Sailajanath's comments highlight the ongoing political tension in Andhra Pradesh and the skepticism surrounding the current government's economic policies. The YSRCP continues to challenge the TDP's claims and promises, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in the allocation and utilization of resources for the state's development.
