YSRCP to Launch Mass Movement Against Vizag Land Scam
Real Estate News:Visakhapatnam: Former minister and YSRCP Anakapalli district president Gudivada Amarnath has raised serious concerns about the NDA government's land allocation practices. At a media conference organized in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, he accused the government of behaving like a real estate agency by distributing public lands at extremely low prices to party followers and supporters.

Amarnath criticized the government for failing to keep its election promises, stating that the TDP-led coalition government has been involved in massive irregularities in land allocations in Visakhapatnam over the past 15 months. He pointed out that while the previous YSRCP government had planned to develop Visakhapatnam into a major IT destination on par with Hyderabad, the current government is diverting valuable lands to companies with no track record.

Citing specific examples, Amarnath stated that prime lands worth thousands of crores of rupees were handed over to companies at rates as low as Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore per acre. He emphasized that this allocation has failed to generate even a single IT job for the youth in the state. The former minister alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh were supervising these shady land deals, and that public land was being looted to benefit their associates and supporters.

“Why are similar land allocations not being made in Amaravati? Why is the TDP not drawing investments there?” Amarnath questioned, criticizing Naidu’s frequent trips to Singapore aimed at renewing old ties. He announced that YSRCP would launch a mass movement against the land scam and hold the coalition government accountable for diverting public wealth for personal gain.

The YSRCP, a political party in Andhra Pradesh, has a strong presence in the region and is known for its commitment to public welfare and development. The party has been vocal about its opposition to the current government's policies and practices, particularly in areas such as land allocation and investment. This mass movement is expected to gather significant support and bring attention to the issues of corruption and mismanagement in the state government.
