The 24-hour water cut is necessary for essential maintenance and repair works at the Jambhul water purification centre and the Barvi pumping station. This maintenance ensures the long-term smooth and uninterrupted supply of water to the region.
The water cut will affect industrial zones including Dombivli MIDC and Taloja MIDC, as well as municipal areas under the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC), and several surrounding gram panchayats.
The water supply will resume at 12 PM on Friday, September 19. However, water pressure may remain low for some time as the system stabilizes.
Residents should store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the shutdown period. They are also advised to follow the guidelines provided by local authorities to minimize the impact of the water cut.
Residents can contact the MIDC helpline or visit their official website for updates and more information about the water cut and maintenance works.
