The land allotted to Assam in Mumbai is four bighas, which is approximately 2.5 acres.
The land is located in the prime real estate area of Mumbai’s Colaba.
The land has been leased to the Assam government for a period of 60 years.
The proposed uses for the land include healthcare and educational facilities, welfare and social service centers, and an incubation center for entrepreneurs.
The announcement was made by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who is the Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
