The property, which was registered on July 23, comes with a stamp duty of Rs 9.3 crores. According to reports, the new owners plan to redevelop the building into a 11-floor structure, featuring lavish spaces and duplex apartments. As a tribute to the late actor, a 2,00 sq ft museum will be dedicated to Dilip Kumar and his wife, Saira Banu, will be curating it.

The bungalow has a rich history, having been purchased by Dilip Kumar in 1953 for Rs 1.4 lacs. The actor lived in the property for over 50 years, until his passing in 2021. However, the plot was embroiled in legal disputes for several years, with Dilip Kumar's family accusing a real estate firm of forging documents to take over the property.

After a long court battle, Saira Banu finally got back the keys to the property in 2017. With the dispute now cleared, the property has been sold, marking the end of a long and tumultuous chapter.
