A real estate developer and 50 others have been booked for allegedly breaking into the office of a businessman in Mahim, Mumbai, and demanding money, according to a police official.

The businessman whose office was broken into is Tarik Chunawala, the owner of Hotel Al-Lazeez and Bright Guest House near Mahim Dargah in Mumbai.
Valuables worth Rs 61.68 lakh were reportedly stolen from the businessman's office.
A real estate developer named Waseem Khandwani and 50 others were booked for the incident.
The incident took place in February 2023, but the FIR was registered recently after an initial probe.
The accused have been charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for house trespass, house breaking, extortion, voluntarily causing hurt, unlawful assembly, wrongful restraint, and other offenses.
