CIDCO Approves ₹450 Cr Infrastructure Boost for Ulwe, Kharghar

By GeoSquare News Desk · Published 2026-11-01

In a significant move for Navi Mumbai's real estate corridor, CIDCO has cleared a ₹450 crore infrastructure package for the Ulwe and Kharghar nodes. The approval covers road widening, drainage improvements, and street-lighting upgrades, aimed at supporting the growing residential demand along the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) corridor.

Infrastructure Upgrades

The funding will primarily focus on widening key arterial roads in both nodes, easing connectivity to the upcoming airport and major employment hubs. Enhanced drainage systems and street lighting are also part of the plan, which is expected to improve liveability and reduce commute times for residents.

Boost for Under-Construction Housing

With over 12,000 units currently under construction in the vicinity, the infrastructure push is likely to accelerate project completion and delivery. Developers and buyers alike see this as a positive signal, particularly for projects near MIDC and the airport-side belt, where demand has been steadily rising.

Market Impact

Real estate analysts believe that improved civic infrastructure will strengthen property values in Ulwe and Kharghar over the medium term. The move is also expected to renew buyer interest in the micro-markets, especially among end-users looking for affordable options with strong growth potential.
