The tragic Ghatkopar incident and directives from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to eliminate illegal hoardings across Mumbai prompted MHADA and BMC to take action.
Out of 62 hoardings, 60 were installed without the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC) from MHADA.
Non-compliance will lead to enforced dismantling by MHADA with BMC's assistance.
Failure to comply will result in the revocation of advertising permits and legal action under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888.
